About the Vice Provost for Administrative Resolution
Philip Brisk has served as UCR’s Vice Provost of Administrative Resolution since September 2021. Dr. Brisk came to UCR in 2009 already familiar with the UC system, having received his Ph.D., master’s, and bachelor’s degrees all from UCLA. He is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He received the NSF CAREER Award in 2014, as well as several Best and Distinguished Paper Awards during his career.
Philip brings an impressive service record on campus. Prior to becoming Vice Provost of Administrative Resolution, he served as Chair of the Faculty of the Bourns College of Engineering. He has also served on the Senate Executive Council, the Committee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and on the Committee on Courses (one year as Chair). He also serves or has served on two Executive Search Committees, as the Faculty Equity Advisor for the Bourns College of Engineering, on the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women, and the SEA Change Executive Committee.
