Who we are
Human Resources offers several programs and services to the University community. Labor relations is one of the many programs offered by the Human Resources department at the University of California, Riverside.
What we do
The Labor Relations Office provides assistance and advice to UCR managers and supervisors in the following areas:
- Performance management/counseling.
- Disciplinary actions, dismissals, release during probation, layoffs, and separation of employees for medical reasons.
- Administration and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements and relevant personnel policies.
- Represents management in employee disputes/grievance proceedings.
- Mediates/negotiates resolution of complaints with employee representatives.
- Administers workers' compensation program.
- Administers unemployment insurance program.
- Coordinates conflict-of-interest process for campus.
- Responds to union information requests/public information requests.
